Feeling a bit blocked creatively, I read this post with some writing prompts and took the inspiration to complete the 20 sentence starters for myself.

1. If I could visit anywhere I would go to the barrier reef. I’d love to do some snorkelling or diving there are see the incredible wildlife.
2. The color blue reminds me of being in water. I love that feeling of your whole body being held and contained by it.
3. My biggest fear is being sectioned under the mental health act. It means having no say in my care and fewer rights than a convicted criminal in prison.
4. Once, I had a dream, but now I seem to only have nightmares.
5. I have a pet called Poppy. She’s a crazy, chaotic dog who brings so much light to my life.
6. If I could fly I would love to be above the world for a while. I’d fly over cities and marvel at how everything looks like Lego.
7. If I could be invisible for a day I would spy on people to see what they really think about me. It definitely wouldn’t be a healthy thing to do.
8. My favorite thing to do is cwtch. That is a Welsh word for snuggling up in a cuddle with someone you love.
9. When I grow up I don’t want to be an adult. Hopefully I won’t ever grow up too much.
10. The best day of my life was the day I met my wife. I didn’t realise it at the time, but everything would change for me after that.
11. The worst day of my life was the day my parents found out that my brother was abusing me.
12. My favorite book is the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations and Proverbs. I also love my giant thesaurus.
13. My favorite movie is The Lion King, or maybe One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.
14. The best kind of ice cream is vegan ice cream. Dairy makes me ill.
15. I am really good at hugs.
16. I wish I was better at being compassionate towards myself.
17. My favorite type of music is different every day. My music taste is extremely eclectic; covering everything from folk and country through to rock and metal. It all depends on my mood.
18. The best invention is WiFi. I know that’s a boring response, but when I’m without it I feel truly isolated.
19. If I were president, I would resign immediately. I never ever want that kind of responsibility. I’d have a meltdown and get it all wrong.
20. Today, I am going to finish a painting I’ve been working on all week. Then I can get started on a new one!
