I wish you knew

I wish you knew
back then before the scare
I wish you could have sensed it
and reached to rescue
To reverse the shattering
rewind to days of grass stains
Of make believe, plasticine and poster paints
Bare contentment and squabbles
So minuscule in comparison
To the agony of unspoken imprisonment
The raw broken absence
A decade of distance.
